Hello, I'm Moriam Yarwood
I am an experienced Advanced Person Centred Counsellor, also trained to use other therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, solution focused therapy and expressive therapy. I work in an empathic, confidential and respectful manner and work within the BACP code of ethics.
As well as working in my own private practice I have experience of working in the voluntary sector (Oldham Bereavement Support Services), schools and NHS settings (Liverpool Women's Hospital, Infertility Counsellor), and I presently work one day a week at the Oldham Cancer Support Centre.
For many people counselling can appear a daunting and even frightening prospect. This is where I would like to help support you along the way. The longest journey begins with but a single step.

Face to Face Counselling
In my private rooms based in Romiley village, Stockport, within the Archways private healthcare clinic. There is a comfortable waiting room and parking adjacent to the building.
Telephone Counselling
For those who may be unable to travel I offer a telephone counselling service, ensuring support is accessible wherever you are.
Video Counselling
For those unable to travel but who still wish to see their counsellor. More details here.
